Dirk, adding some debugging I see

(That's just hooing into "uemis_start_dive()" to show the deviceid
(0), then the second line is showing the bp buffer (and hex values of
pointer and end), the third line shows what tag it's trying to parse
(empty string), and the fourth dive is just before it decides to not
even record the empty data.

So something completely broken.
