Or just something in the preferences ? A little like Firefox as the
default home page.

But this could also means that I want to have the ability to close a
file/session (without closing the application).
I have file1 for me and file2 for my wife. I set file1 as the default,
then I want to be able to close file1/my session to open file2.
At the moment when we open a file, the dives get added to the current
"session".
