of course, the real thing is more complex: I think this means that the compartment that currently determines the ceiling is off-gasing. But that does not tell anything about the others, in particular the slower compartments will typically still be on-gasing. As the latter ones are typically determining the end of deco, it could well be (and that generically and not just as a corner case) that slightly above this event indeed the ceiling goes up but the total deco time is still increasing. So, strictly speaking, this explanation (which is of course not yours but Suunto's) can be misleading.
