[PATCH] Manual update

Attached update to manual. See Commit notes.

Two issues outstanding:

1) If possible a Qt-based banner showing the Qt-based system.
2) I strongly suspect the divelogs.de section (3.3.4) is not correct. 
Needs rewriting to reflect the present interface that appears much 
shorter and easier?
