Which is why I wonder how useful cameras actually are that tag pictures
with GPS coordinates - I wouldn't expect anyone to wait for a GPS fix
after turning on a camera and before pressing the trigger ;-)

I've got an android phone that has such a chipset, and that is rumored to aquire
a fix within 5 seconds. I have not verified this claim, though, as I don't
have a personal use case. I can try to verify this claim later in the evening,
if you can tell me a download/git URL containing your .apk file (I don't have
an Android SDK at hand).
