I was thinking about this a few times already but never got around to
implementing this. Definitely post-3.0.

But how about if we add an extras section that allows us to store more
or less unstructured data in a semi-structured form. This could then be
displayed in a separate notebook page - as long as it is XML formatted
I'm sure it would be possible to create the necessary logic to render
things. We wouldn't support editing it, but we could at least preserve
it.

Again, something that needs more thought and more discussion, but at
least an idea of what we could do about this information.
