I think this is a good idea. Having said that...

I still feel a bit uncomfortable with possibly other people planning their 
decompression with whatever I might have some responsibility for. I know, 
the GPL has a "no liability no guarantee to work as advertised" clause, 
but before releasing this to a wider public I would include a sentence in 
the planner along the lines of "this is new code and not too well tested. 
Handle with care and don't trust too much". I would not use any 'we are 
afraid of your lawyers' disclaimer like "This will kill you. Don't use 
except for studying purposes", but some warning that we just made this up.
