Something I like about this website are the stats this give for a
project:

Subsurface
...
has a young, but established codebase
maintained by a very large development team
with stable year-over-year commits
...
took an estimated 7 years of effort (COCOMO model)
starting with its first commit in August, 2011
ending with its most recent commit 2 days ago

7 years of effort squeezed into 18months, nice!
