How to test translation pt_PT ?

Ah. Ubuntu. I seem to remember comments from earlier that things are a bit weird there… 

normally all you'd need to do is

LANG=pt_PT.utf-8 ./subsurface

this assumes that you put your po file in po/pt_PT.po 

I am in the middle of cutting 3.0.1, so the timing is a bit unfortunate. How long do you think until you have a tested version?
