entering GPS coordinates

I just pushed out three commits that allow us to enter GPS coordinates.

The hand written parser has survived some basic testing here but
definitely needs careful proof-reading by another set of eye balls and a
lot more testing.

But at least we now have a manual way of entering GPS coordinates.

Now if someone would want to do a map picker in addition to that.... :-)
