Hmmm... it seems like there won't be much compatibility left
between Debian and Ubuntu in the long run - as Canonical
announced to head for "Mir" as their new graphics server of choice:

So now add "Mir" to the Hall of Shame of graphics servers
that try to replace X11 - anyone remember
Fresco?
Y Window System?
Wayland?

I am confident, though, that there are enough reasonable people
out there that will not jump on the next half-baked X11 replacement
hype just because some distributor strives for becoming more
of a closed ecosystem every other day...
