I can't help you with the second part - it's our format. It has
developed over time as our needs changed and will continue to do
so. Whether or not a third party application will support this or not is
outside of our control.

We already are working on API integration with divelogs.de; I have
looked at the DiveBoard API and find it quite a bit more convoluted, but
it's something that's on my todo list.
