Confusion about segment time in planner

Seems there is some logic related to the segment time entry in the
planner which is hard to understand. The segment time for a following
segment is added when it is less (or equal) than the previous one but is
used as total when it is larger!? So having a segment time of lets say
5min for the first segment there is no difference if one adds a
following segment having 1 or 6min - both result in a total tome of 1min
for the second segment.

Seems there is also a bug in the update logic: In case the following
segment time is smaller, then, reducing the previous segment time
afterwards will result in an addition of the reduced time to the second
segment (shown in the chart, not updating the segment time in the entry
field).
