I used Mints "Software Manager" tool.
It seems to be identical to the "Ubuntu Software Center"
tool that is mentioned at http://subsurface.hohndel.org/download/
- at least it offers the very same menu structure.

That's a little difficult since that computer is no longer
connected to any network I am on, but both files seem to contain
these two lines:

> deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/subsurface/subsurface/ubuntu precise main
> deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/subsurface/subsurface/ubuntu precise main
