Add gas change event gets time wrong (and crashes sometimes)

And me on my office IMac (with 10.9 as opposed to 10.8 on the macbook I was on yesterday when I wrote the original mail).

The debugger shows that the difference is in gc.rightx which in the working version is 3000 while yesterday it was only 1.

Consider this a non-issue until I investigate further what is going on at home.
