That's worth more than a small comment. That's a big usability fix.

Remaining problems I have:

 - multidive editing does not work for the equipment tab. Going
through multiple dives individually just to set the cylinder size or
weights used is *really* annoying.

 - the "this dive is being edited" still only exists for the dive
notes and buddy etc

 - there's something wrong with editing cylinders. When I pick a
particular cylinder type (say, "AL80") from the drop-down list, I can
see the size and pressure update as I move around in that list. But
when I actually click on that entry to select it, the entries get
cleared again.

That last one is odd. *Once* it actually worked for me. So I think
it's somehow timing-related, or related to the order of some event in
the main Qt event loop or something like that.
