Android App, How does it work

Hi,

I have installed the Android app on my phone and was wondering what the
best way to use it is?

Do i set it to record a position every minute or something?

How accurate is the positions it gives?  I have set it to record every 5
minutes and took it onto a boat with me a few weeks back but have only just
got the chance to download the data into subsurface.

There are two position fixes at 10:05 and 10:35 on my phone, and the dive
started at 10:22 (there may be a minute or two different between the clocks)

So does it just interpolate between the two positions in a straight line?
or use the one with the closest time?  Is it intended to record the
position of the wreck (for instance) or just give a general indication on
the map?
