There is no "correct" value. But typically most agencies teach "1.4 while
diving / working, 1.6 on deco stops". I heard rumors that some militaries
dive with 2.0 :-)

I remember there's a bug to add one for exactly that reason. Don't know if
this will be closed prior to the release, though.
