Now I did. I removed an old part about compiling version 3 on mac from the 
command line, and updated the linux informations.

Honestly for me, if I were not interested in contributing, I'd just use the 
version provided in the repositories, as it's easier to obtain. PPAs are often 
spawned by pet projects that get abandoned in 2 or 3 weeks, and after a while 
the dependencies start being upgraded, which causes the removal of the package 
or the need to be stuck with a certain library version.
