Without that patch the linker fails to resolve symbols from qtquick, qtqml, and cocoa/core foundation. Is it maybe because I compile my own qt5 but use make from homebrew? I had the same problem on my office iMac. I only encounter it with dirk's marble, not with off the shelf.
