HTML in notes issue

So I took Tomaz' patches (with small modifications) but this needs a lot
more testing. In one quick test case that I threw together it showed no
notes for notes that contained HTML (but that was cheating as I created
that markup myself).

Ideally if you have XML files (or git saves) that were done with the
broken versions, let's make sure this does the right thing.

It's all pushed and I'm building a Windows binary that will be up in a
moment.
