Rebreather oxygen sensor voting systems

Attached some text (in a .png) from page 41 of the APD Discovery manual. 
This raises a very interesting issue about how to deal with oxygen 
sensors in three-sensor CCR systems. It looks like at least two 
approaches are possible: a)using the mean of the three measurements. b) 
using the mean of the two sensors with the most similar readings. Any 
comment or suggestions from CCR divers on this message board?
