Translate missing phrases

As from today's IRC chat and after my yesterday's discover while
localizing into Latvian language -- there are missing phrases that
don't appear neither in the Transifex or in .ts files that are in
current branch.
For example, mainwindow.ui don't have translated tooltips messages at
all (for left vertical toolbar) and "Old Profile" / "New Profile"
titles in upper switcher that are always visible when user opens
application.

Is it reasonable to update current .ts files with those from the
Transifex, commit to the project and then add missing phrases to the
source.ts? But I'm not sure how they will appear in the Transifex as
"not translated yet" for every language.

Who can help me with that and explain how should it be done properly?
