The fix looks correct, but there were several issues with your patch

a) not against latest master (ok, that's forgivable)
b) mangled headers (look where your SOB line ended up)
c) rather bad commit message (you describe the problem, not the
solution)

I cleaned things up and committed it. Please take a look and see what I
wrote in the commit message and also work on figuring out how to send
correct patches.
