Thanks for Replying, I have already read the code and working on it from few days now, I have submitted a patch but was not according to the expectations, But i am trying to work on it and make it better and understand subsurface better

We require that at least two small patches are send and applied from the potential gsocker to fully apply for the GSoC, this is just to ensure that the student can really read and understand code, since we are not teachers, we will not teach one to program, we will however help the willing student to dive into the code and help them understand our silly ideas. So, how to proceed next?  Read the code, read the bugs, improve something, show us that you can work on our code.
