1) Robert's patch; 2) the filter panel

1) A few days ago Robert submitted a patch pertaining to gaspressures.c. 
I suspect it has not been pushed yet.

2) I am writing some text about the filter panel. Ctl-F opens the filter 
panel. But it does not close it. It merely hides it. To close the filter 
selection, one needs to un-check any checked boxes in the filter panel, 
and then hit Ctl-F. Are there any other ways to undo/minimise/hide/close 
the filter panel?
