[PATCH] Set proper mode for file open dialog

IIRC the challenge here is that this stops us from being able to manually
open git repositories. We simply need to stop abusing the regular file
open dialog and instead provide a separate dialog for opening git
repositories.

For now I'll take your patch as it creates the correct behavior for the
"typical" user who just cares about XML files.
