This is funny. In a sad way.
I always felt that asking people to compile software from source was a no win approach.

So once you switched to the v4.4.0 tag as I asked you, you need to re-apply the patches
that Lubomir sent, but I haven’t had a chance to check if those apply to v4.4.0 as well.
If you don’t mind waiting, I’m planning to tag v4.4.1 tonight or maybe tomorrow (depending
on how my day goes, I’m traveling to the Bay Area today) and will include Lubomir’s
patches in that.

The second problem is that it’s a pain in the… to get the marble include files to the right
place. So maybe you could build without Marble (that means you’ll lose the globe)? Or,
time permitting, I’ll include a little script in the Subsurface sources for 4.4.1 that automates
all this and makes it easier for people to build from source.

At this point I’m making binaries for more than a dozen platforms available - and this is
exactly the reason why. Subsurface has become so complex and has so many strange
dependencies that building it from source is indeed non-trivial.

Of course, you could always update to Fedora 20 or 21 and take advantage of one of those
binaries :-)
