I did.  955 (not 995) is on Launchpad and contains the fix.

It's somewhat non-trivial. And I seem to remember that Jef has only posted
binaries to do so, not sources, so I'm not sure you can do this on Ubuntu.
There are Linux binaries so it's worth a try.
