I'd love to understand a reproduceable scenario in which that happens. I
try pretty aggressively to make sure that changes to the preferences are
reflected in the UI ;-)

You can do that via their API

Yes we did, but your help is very welcome. If there is more / better
information that we can get from them we should use that.

I have asked that question on their forum. It works for some bodies of
water but not for others and I cannot find any documentation how the
identification of bodies of water works. Maybe you can add to my question
once you learn more?
