I agree with the sentiment of the patch, but just from using other Android
apps it appears to me that the back button is usually in the top left
corner while the menu button usually is in the top right?

At least when I'm playing with the Google apps on my Nexus phones that's
what I tend to observe. Some have a menu on the top left, but that's a
drawer menu that slides in and overlays from the left.

But I haven't found a single app so far that has the back button on the
right (and we need a real back arrow for this, the font arrow that I used
is too hideous for words).
