And I am still waiting for just that.
Not much I can do -- the downside of an open source project with volunteer contributors.
I happily tackle things that no one is working on - but when I know that our main UI developer is in the process of addressing a UI issue it seems foolish to spend time on that.

It's pretty much impossible right now AFAIK. I had this working but it immediately got broken again. See above.

Yes, that was fixed about a week ago.

You should try pulling from git. The git protocol is amazingly resilient to slow and spotty and lossy internet connections.
If the connection is good enough to get to your email, it's easily good enough to pull from git. Trust me, I have tons of experience with that particular situation :-)
