The best thing would be a status bar that can be showed/hidden via the menu.
In this optional status bar we could have:

Sync progress bar (Red when <100%); green at 100%

We could avoid the status bar using a small space between profile
graph and title bar

Indication if logbook has been modified and not saved could be easily
indicated with a star (john-doe-logbook*) on logbook name.
