I received a note from Guenther that this indeed fixes the problem. But he notes a few other problems with this version (which I cannot confirm as I don’t have a Windows computer anymore):

1) Subsurface crashes when opening a new dive
2) He cannot change the name of a trip
3) The eon steel download does not have (complete) gas information, so no AMV is reported
4) Import into new trip does not work (it used to work for him before)

I am only relaying this information to the mailing list. Maybe somebody could confirm these reports (on windows) or even better figure out what is happening.
