alright, i was able to test again.

the problem is that i can't reproduce that on my setup (Win32) and i
don't have OSX and Linux setups ATM.
seems like a Qt, OS specific issue.

supposedly we had a fix for the same issue, but it was OS independent
and i don't remember where it was.
