Willem, I managed to build a recent apk, but it crashed on running too. I
believe it failed to load the Kirigami plugin. Can you run 'adb logcat |
grep -i subsurface' while connected to your android device and post the
output from when you open Subsurface-mobile?

I think it may need a more recent version of Qt to handle the plugin. I
built using Qt5.5. I have installed 5.7 but didn't manage to build an apk
(cmake didn't seem to like the v4.9.x version of gcc that comes with 5.7).
