looking for testers with iPhones and iPads

I clearly don't have enough pain and my todo list is too short, so let's do something about that.

The "easiest" way to do beta testing for iOS apps appears to require me to collect device IDs from my testers.

So those of you with iDevices who are interested in testing my current build... could you follow these instructions and send me your device ID(s)?

https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistributionGuide/MaintainingProfiles/MaintainingProfiles.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012582-CH30-SW46 <https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistributionGuide/MaintainingProfiles/MaintainingProfiles.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012582-CH30-SW46>

With that information I should be able to create an ipa file that you should then be able to install on your device. This is the method I tested via Apple Configurator (but if you scroll up on the same page there's a way to do this with iTunes as well)

https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistributionGuide/TestingYouriOSApp/TestingYouriOSApp.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012582-CH8-SW10 <https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/IDEs/Conceptual/AppDistributionGuide/TestingYouriOSApp/TestingYouriOSApp.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/TP40012582-CH8-SW10>

(now don't get me started on the developer friendliness of this approach compared to "post an apk on your web server and the tester can just install that". Even the Google-play alpha test where I needed to add people's email address to a list was way simpler... I didn't need to do a new build every time someone new was added to the list of testers, and the app simply showed up in Google play, none of this "manually install the app using the following steps" BS... but I digress)
