Here is a bit of my experience on Ubuntu 16.04.

Building from master 4.7.4-280. I do not need to build with 
-build-with-webkit to get a working map. However, there is no printing 
facility if it is built WITHOUT -build-with-webkit.

Downloading from Ubuntu repository, I get 4.7.4-258. In this specific 
version there is a printing facility but no map.

I suspect there is a bit of tweaking to do.
