Maybe. Or maybe later this week. I'll think about it a bit more first.
This was the mindless obvious part, the next steps might be a bit more
experimental in how to express the sensor indexes.

I'd rather have this first patch merged independently first, because
I'm pretty sure this is the right thing to do regardless of what
happens later, and the rest might be things I just try out and
discard.
