I can confirm that basic functionality (serial line import, editing, printing)
works under CentOS 7.4 using this image.
Expected kinds of warnings appear, such as
> QStandardPaths: XDG_RUNTIME_DIR not set, defaulting to '/tmp/runtime-test7'
> libGL error: failed to open drm device: Permission denied
> libGL error: failed to load driver: nouveau
> libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
> libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
which do not seem to mean real harm.

(Have no test-case for InterNet connectivity here.)
