I have FTDI downloads somewhat working for Cochran dive computers. It's a
little unreliable but it's masked because do_libdivecomputer_import()
ignores the do_device_import() return value, so if I get a read-timeout
after some dives were successfully downloaded there is no error and it
looks like it worked (if you don't count dives.)
