Qt versions and building Subsurface

I have been interacting with Stefan about some code development and have
run into some Qt problems with interpreting HTML. After checking, it
turns out that my build script still uses the system-installed Qt5.5.1
and not Qt5.10 as expected. I need some advice. I installed QT5.10 in
folder src/Qt/5.10.0. However, when I build, the build script still uses
Qt5.5.1

QT_SYSROOT:

QMAKE_SPEC:linux-g++-64
QMAKE_XSPEC:linux-g++-64
QMAKE_VERSION:3.0
QT_VERSION:5.5.1

Version 5.5.1 is the system version installed in the system area of the
OS (Ubuntu 16.04). How do I force the build script to use the correct Qt?

I see no options in build.sh.

Kind regards,

willem
