replacement android tablet for subsurface ftdi download

 I had a Hudl which was great and I could use FTDI to access my suunto s4i whilst away from home. However , that’s now dead and I’m looking for another option. I already have an iPad so I’m not looking for an expensive replacement such as the Samsung’s.

My requirement is for a cheap (sub $200 would be good) tablet which allows access to my suunto and ideally also has Bluetooth LE so I can also download from my shearwaters.

Is anyone using a Kindle Fire? Does anyone know if you can access FTDI with it?
