By the way, this isn't necessary, serial Aladin devices are supported from
the very beginning of Subsurface and so is Memomouse.
I'm actually using an Aladin Pro as a backup DC and downloading directly to
Subsurface, at least since I managed to build an interface to replace my
dead Memomouse.
