So as Dirk mentioned, the subsurface default assumption is that when
you have multiple dive computers with gas sensors, the dive computers
normally are used to redundantly track the same cylinders.

But note that this is literally just he "default assumption". You can
fairly easily override it by having different gas mixes in different
cylinders, and then subsurface will treat them as separate cylinders
(because now subsurface sees that they clearly aren't redundantly just
tracking the same cylinder).

And even if you end up having multiple cylinders with the same mix,
maybe you'd be willing to lie, and edit the has mixes to be just
slightly different to trigger that subsurface logic? IOW, say that you
have 4 cylinders of air, you could tell your dive computers that they
are different by setting the O2 percentages to 20/21/22/23 and now
subsurface would see them as different..

In fact, you can just do it per dive computer, and make them 21/21 on
one, and 22/22 on the other.
