I don't know if that is immediate, but yeah, Android prioritizes reducing
power consumption, and there are all kinds of ways things get odd when
the screen is off.

That's because you used gmail. For some odd reason when you copy
and paste into gmail it truncates the buffer after just a few ten kB. If you
use a different email client (like k9) you can send yourself (or me) full
logs. Simply use the "ask for help" feature, pick a different email client,
and then change the recipient to yourself :-)

:+1:

I think that will get similar results.
The really important news is that it overall worked.
I do care mildly to see the USB device string, just in case that contrary
to all the other ones for Suunto cables maybe that one contains something
useful. Fairly early in the log there should be a line like this:

UsbDevice[mName=/dev/bus/usb/001/004,mVendorId=1027,mProductId=34768,mClass=0,mSubclass=0,mProtocol=0,mManufacturerName=LiquidApps,mProductName=DiveMate Fusion,mVersion=6.00,mSerialNumber=null,mConfigurations=[\nUsbConfiguration[mId=1,mName=null,mAttributes=128,mMaxPower=50,mInterfaces=[\nUsbInterface[mId=0,mAlternateSetting=0,mName=null,mClass=255,mSubclass=255,mProtocol=255,mEndpoints=[\nUsbEndpoint[mAddress=129,mAttributes=2,mMaxPacketSize=64,mInterval=0]\nUsbEndpoint[mAddress=2,mAttributes=2,mMaxPacketSize=64,mInterval=0]]]]"

Can you share that with me?
