OK, this is an old, old (mis-)feature. Way back when we decided to
never eversave on iOS when doing local changes because it was so
bleeping slow. So we save if you switch away from it to a different
app. But if you kill it manually, we don't save things.
I can look into changing that behavior - but this isn't specific to
dive tripmanipulations at all...
