4.9.4 released

Hi Everyone,

This turned out to be a little more painful than expected because the GitHub CI didn't upload the binaries to the release.
We had tested this over and over again for the regular merges, but obviously never for a tagged release...
I ended up running things manually on my local system (of course using the same scripts / same docker images for building).
So I /THINK/ this is all consistent with what we have all tested over the last few months, but I'm not sure.

I guess we'll find out :-)

(actually, I have tested the Windows and Mac binaries briefly... the Mac binary isn't notarized as that service appears down :-( )

Additionally, here's what I've done:

- I created the and pushed the changes and the tag to GitHub
- I published the binaries both on GitHub and on subsurface-divelog.org/downloads <http://subsurface-divelog.org/downloads>
- I published the release announcements on subsurface.github.io <http://subsurface.github.io/>
- I updated the links the various translated landing pages on our website (this appears to be missing in Spanish for some reason)
- I update the automated update mechanism backend (so people who opted in to that should start seeing notifications, telling them to update)

After sending this email, I'll post announcements to Twitter (yes, we are on Twitter as https://twitter.com/SubsurfaceDive <https://twitter.com/SubsurfaceDive>), in our User Forum, and ScubaBoard.
And I of course invite all of you to post announcements wherever you find information about diving apps (or wherever you have posted in the past).

Finally, a word of thanks. To all of you for testing, working on the documentation, on translations, on videos, on code, providing feedback, etc.
A special thanks to Berthold who has done an amazing amount of work on Subsurface bringing our backend into much much better shape. And chasing down any and all bugs, whether in his code or elsewhere.

If you feel I should have thanked you and I forgot - my apologies. Drop me a note so next time I can include you.

I should make my usual promises to do more frequent releases. But I'm afraid my credibility for that is pretty much shot...

I'll try, anyway.

All the best, and again THANKS to all of you.

/D
