HELP: please analyze SubSurface files // can't connect to Suunto Cobra3

Trying to help my wife with her Cobra3
Used to sync w/ Suunto DM4 on a MacBook Air 2011 running macOS 10.11
Recently stopped working after some update she did (not sure what)
As DM4 is not supported any longer, tried downloading DM5. It does not sync.
Tried DM5 on my PC. Also does not recognise the diving computer.
Learned about Subsurface. Tried... can't open COM5 port.

Please see .log attached. (.bin was not even generated)

Any help is welcome.
