I was considering both with the initial translation, but decided to go
for more proper Finnish. That said, I can't imagine these translations
would create any confusion. I'm ok with paine and sukelluksia.

Again, agreed. Pituus is wrong(ish), but "keskikesto" sounds just silly.
"Keskimääräinen kesto", on the other hand, doesn't really help the
situation.

Part of me would like to rearrange stuff on stats page into table where
temperature, duration, depth and SOC would be used as row titles,
minimum, average, maximum and total as column titles. However,
translation strings for languages such as Finnish would be awkward
(korkein/suurin/pisin).

The other part would like to have separate frames for temperature (and
others), then put min/avg/max/total inside each. I can't say I like all
those 17 frames already in stats view, but this would create even more
frames.

I also tried throwing the statistics in GtkTable where each row would
have column label of its own. As you can imagine, it's not any better.

IMO that would make dates more readable, too.
